Thanks to WA Primary Health Alliance who are currently able to provide free access to the Black Dog Institutes 1 hour Recognise and Respond (Suicide Prevention) online course.

Taking a suicide prevention course equips you with the knowledge and confidence to recognize the signs, offer support, and connect someone to help when they need it most.

Why It Matters:
✔ Suicide is preventable – knowing what to say and how to listen can save a life.
✔ Break the stigma – encourage open and supportive conversations about mental health.
✔ Empower yourself – learn practical skills to support friends, family, and your community.
✔ Early intervention saves lives – spotting the warning signs early can lead to the right help.

You don’t need to be a professional to make a difference. Just one caring conversation can change everything.

Check out our photos from the Have A Go Expo, a youth-driven initiative that brought together Hudson Road Family Centre and Blue Leaf Initiative to showcase the incredible range of activities available in the Bunbury Geographe region.

Over 200 young adults (18–30ish) came through our two expo-style events, exploring social groups, hobby associations, sporting clubs, and creative arts opportunities. The goal? To help our community build stronger connections and a sense of belonging—and we certainly saw that in action!
