☀️ Bunuru is here – the hottest time of the year in the Noongar seasonal calendar. Represented by the colour orange, Bunuru brings hot easterly winds and cooling sea breezes if you’re lucky enough to be near the coast.
It’s a time for fishing and living by waterways – freshwater and seafood are traditional staples in this season.
Look out for white flowering gums (jarrah, marri, ghost gum) and the striking female zamia cones, turning red as they ripen – a sure sign that emu and other animals will be drawn to them.
