Find Your People at the Have A Go Expo 2026 🎉
New to Bunbury? Or maybe you’ve been here a while but still haven’t found your crew? Whether you’re into RPGs, sports, dance, sewing, hula hooping, music or something totally unique, this is the place to start.
Join us on Saturday 31 January 2026 at the Stirling Street Arts Centre for the Have A Go Expo: a fun, youth-led event all about helping YOU discover what’s happening locally, try something new, and make real connections.
After two incredible years where 200+ people showed up and 75% walked away with a new hobby or passion, 2026 is set to be our biggest yet. From musical theatre to ultimate frisbee, creative workshops to community clubs, there’s something here for everyone.
💡 Come have a go! You never know who you’ll meet or what you’ll discover. Bunbury has so much to offer!
This event is happening in conjunction with the Stirling Street Arts Centre Open Day and is proudly supported by the City of Bunbury and Workforce Australia Local Jobs South West.

Volunteer with us
We are always on the lookout for locals who want to give back and help us run our programs! To ensure you are supported in your role, here is what you can expect from volunteering with us at Blue Leaf Initiative:
1. Interview
This involves meeting with the Coordinator and answering a few questions about why you want to be involved, your skillset, availability, and what you want to get out of volunteering. It is also a chance for you to clarify any questions you may have.
2. Induction
Meet likeminded volunteers and become familiar with our organisation. You will receive an orientation, chat about expectations and responsibilities, deep dive on your values, and learn how to access additional support.
3. Online Onboarding
You can log onto Processworx at any time to upload your documentation (e.g., National Police Clearance, Working With Children’s Check, First Aid, CPR, Driver’s License) and complete the online modules (Human Resources, Work Health and Safety, and Child Safety).
4. Volunteer 1-on-1 Catch Ups
Volunteers are required to meet one-on-one with a Blue Leaf staff member at least once every 6 months. This is an informal check-in to reflect on your goals, skills, and contributions—and yes, we’ll shout you a hot drink!
