Investing In Our Youth and its programs collects your personal information to provide services to you.

The type and extent of personal information collected, varies depending on how you engage with us.

We collect personal and sensitive information from our staff, volunteers, clients, donors, business partners and online users.

Our organisation collects data and information for evaluation purposes which may include the collection of your personal information.

Any evaluation outcomes or reports do not identify individuals, unless you give your prior verbal or preferably written consent.

How we use information we collect

We use the information we collect to run our organisation, provide services, and improve them.

We will ask for your consent before using your information for different purpose other than originally intended.

Information security

We restrict access to your information to only those people who need to know to process it for us.  They must keep it confidential.

We will protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Information we share

We do not share your personal information with companies, organisations and individuals outside of Investing In Our Youth unless:

• We have your consent to share
• It is processed externally by trusted businesses or persons, based on our instructions and in compliance the Privacy Act
• It is for legal reasons to meet any laws, regulations or request

Information for under 18s

If you are under 18, we might need permission from a parent / guardian, but we will talk to you about this when you first engage with our services.

Accessing and correcting your personal information

You can request access to the personal information that we hold about you by contacting us. Where we cannot give you access immediately, we will respond to you within 30 days.

If access is refused, we will tell you why in writing.

If you believe that the personal information Investing In Our Youth holds about you is not correct, complete or up to date, we will try to correct it.
